David Walton - Consultant
David joined Davidson Large as a consultant in March 2008. He trained and qualified with a well-known regional firm before moving to a national firm in December 1996 in order to specialize in commercial litigation.
He deals with most forms of contractual and commercial disputes spanning the whole range from straightforward debt claims through to complex, multi-party disputes, and has a particular interest in the domestic and international supply of goods and services (including carriage of goods). He has experience working for a wide range of both private and public sector clients, including NHS Trusts and national cultural institutions.
David has a personable, down-to-earth and highly approachable manner and takes pride in his ability to forge strong working relationships with clients. He adopts a determined yet flexible approach to problem-solving and dispute resolution that combines his tenacity with a practical awareness of legal and commercial realities.
He advises on all kinds of commercial agreements from manufacturing and distribution agreements, through to licensing and franchise agreements including agreements for sale and supply of products/services. He also advises on terms and conditions of sale and supply for businesses.
Away from work David loves travel. He also enjoys learning foreign languages (Mandarin Chinese has been a passion for several years), watching art house and foreign-language movies, and unwinding listening to music.
