Neil Large - Partner
Neil trained and qualified as an in-house banking and finance lawyer with a well known national bank. In 1996 he moved into private practice to focus his career on corporate and commercial work, spending 9 years with two well recognised national law firms based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. He joined what is now Davidson Large in 2005 as partner and head of the firm's corporate and commercial department.
Neil specialises in all aspects of business sales and acquisition, MBOs, MBIs, business turnarounds and restructuring, business starts ups, corporate reconstruction schemes and demergers including section 110 Insolvency Act reconstructions. He has expertise in finance raising for existing established businesses and newly promoted start ups through bank debt, private equity or venture capital. He is regularly involved in acquisition finance raising for corporate transactions acting for borrowers and funders. He also advises on joint ventures, share option schemes, shareholder agreements, minority shareholder protection issues, exit strategies and succession planning for owner managed businesses.
Neil lives in a village on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales with his wife and 3 young children. His interests include motor biking, DIY, swimming, travel, and keeping his children occupied at weekends.
