Russell Davidson - Managing Partner
Russell worked in the City of London for 11 years with international law firm Linklaters and was later a Partner at what is now DLA in Leeds. He established the firm that is now Davidson Large LLP in 1995.
Russell specialises in all aspects of commercial property and development. His work includes the acquisition, disposal and management of sole and multi-occupied retail, office, industrial, residential and leisure sites. He also advises on setting up different types of joint venture, secured funding and option arrangements.
Heading an extensive landlord and tenant practice, including FRI lettings, rent sharing and turnover leases, Russell's expertise includes unusual rent review provisions, contested renewals and joint venture arrangements. Clients include developers, investors and public authorities.
Russell has considerable experience in acting for hotel companies and has led a number of multi-million pound acquisitions, disposals, re-financings and developments in the licensed trade and leisure sectors, as well as drawing up management agreements for use within those sectors.
In his free time Russell enjoys travel, is a wine buff and distance runner. He does a lot of charitable work including acting as a Governor of the Sports Aid Foundation, Trustee of the Royal Hall Restoration Trust and Governor at Harrogate Grammar School.
